Shift Leader
Lead from the production floor, support a skilled team and drive safe, efficient, high-quality manufacturing in a growing technology company.
We are looking for a Shift Leader to join our growing production team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working close to the production floor, taking responsibility, solving problems and helping a team perform at its best.
An electronics production background is a strong advantage, but we are also open to candidates with experience from other technical or manufacturing environments.
What you will do
As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of your shift and for making sure production runs safely, efficiently and according to our quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting the production team during your shift
Organising daily tasks and distributing work according to production priorities
Making sure production plans and deadlines are followed
Monitoring quality and addressing issues when they occur
Supporting employees with technical and practical questions
Training and guiding new team members
Ensuring that work instructions, safety procedures and quality requirements are followed
Identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvements
Communicating production status, issues and priorities to the Production Manager
Supporting troubleshooting and problem-solving on the production floor
Keeping the workplace organised and maintaining good 5S standards
Reporting deviations, production issues and other relevant information
Taking responsibility for a safe, productive and positive working environment
We are looking for someone who
Has experience from electronics production, assembly, manufacturing or another technical production environment
Has experience leading people, coordinating work or taking responsibility for a team
Is comfortable working hands-on and getting involved when something needs to be fixed or improved
Understands the importance of quality, precision and following procedures
Can read and understand technical drawings and work instructions
Has a structured and practical approach to problem-solving
Communicates clearly and respectfully with colleagues
Can stay calm and make decisions when production gets busy
Is comfortable giving feedback and setting expectations
Takes responsibility and does not wait for someone else to solve every problem
Good English and Ukrainian is required. Norwegian or other languages are an advantage, particularly when communicating with a diverse production team.
Leadership experience is valuable, but we are also interested in strong production specialists who are ready to take their first formal leadership step.
Working hours
The role may involve shift work, including evening and night shifts as our production develops.
You should therefore be comfortable working in a shift-based production environment.
