Hardware Engineer
Take hardware from concept to production. Design analog, digital, power and RF electronics, bring prototypes to life and solve complex challenges hands-on in the lab.
The Role
You will be involved throughout the hardware development lifecycle, working closely with electronics, RF, software and mechanical engineers.
You will have the opportunity to work across digital and analog electronics, power electronics, PCB design, high-speed interfaces and RF integration, while being directly involved in bringing new hardware to life.
Key Responsibilities
Design digital, analog and power supply circuits, including their integration into RF systems
Develop schematics, select components and define hardware architectures
Coordinate and contribute to PCB layout and routing
Perform circuit calculations and component placement, including connectors, indicators and other system interfaces
Design PCBs according to DFM and DFT principles
Work closely with mechanical engineers on thermal management, shielding and mechanical integration
Support hardware development from initial concept through prototype, testing and production
Bring up and debug prototype hardware in the laboratory
Identify design issues, investigate root causes and implement improvements
Perform hardware measurements and validation using laboratory equipment
Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners where required
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs and hardware specifications
What We Are Looking For
You have a strong foundation in electronics engineering and enjoy working on complex hardware where performance and reliability matter.
You have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field
Strong practical experience designing digital, analog and power circuits
Experience developing complex electronic hardware and PCBs
Solid understanding of PCB manufacturing and DFM/DFT principles
Experience with Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro or similar
Good understanding of hardware interfaces such as SPI, UART, I²C, CAN, USB, Ethernet and LVDS
Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and logic analysers
Strong understanding of PCB layout principles and best practices
Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging and prototype validation
Experience with the following is an advantage:
RF circuit design
Signal integrity analysis and simulation
EMC/EMI compliance and testing
High-speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB 3.x and LVDS
High-speed digital design and challenging signal-integrity environments
