Maintenance Technician
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on and technically minded Maintenance Technician to join our growing production team.
In this role, you will help keep our production facility, machines and equipment running safely and efficiently. You will work closely with Production, Engineering and other technical functions to prevent downtime, solve mechanical problems and continuously improve our equipment and processes.
This is a practical role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, fixing things and taking responsibility for reliable production.
Key responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and identify the root cause of failures.
Repair, adjust, replace and install mechanical components and equipment.
Carry out inspections and routine checks of machines and production equipment.
Support production operators with technical issues and machine problems.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
Participate in modifications, upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
Maintain tools, spare parts and mechanical equipment in good condition.
Document maintenance work, faults and repairs in the maintenance system.
Follow maintenance plans, procedures and technical documentation.
Work according to company requirements for HSE and quality.
Support the production team during breakdowns and unplanned stoppages.
What we are looking for
Relevant technical education, such as Industrial Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Technician or similar.
Relevant industrial experience can compensate for formal education.
Experience with maintenance and repair of industrial machinery or production equipment.
Good practical mechanical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
Experience with mechanical components, bearings, drives, pneumatics and/or hydraulics is an advantage.
Welding, machining or fabrication experience is an advantage.
Basic computer skills and willingness to use digital maintenance systems.
Good understanding of HSE and safe working practices.
Ability to communicate in English; Norwegian is an advantage.
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
A good problem solver who enjoys technical challenges.
A good team player who communicates well with production and technical colleagues.
